Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is a beautiful small growing Monstera type plant. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma has 4 to 6 inch long leaves that are heart shaped with cut leaves.? Native to Malaysia and Thailand this plant has become a must have in the house plant trade. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma’s beautiful cut foliage and easy climbing habit has really made it popular for small indoor spaces. Give it a totem or a hanging pot and it will climb or spill out of the container. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is in the Monsteraroid group of aroid plants which are distant cousins to Philodendrons and Peace lily’s. They are very closely related to the Monstera group and can easily be confused with them. They will often have similar type foliage and growth habits and is why this plant is commonly refereed to as the Mini Monstera. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma can grow in regular potting mixes and inside areas given a sunny window or good lighting.
