Description
Philodendron bipinnatifidum (Narrow Form) X Philodendron Speciosum. In 2015 I was able to do a cross I had really been interested in trying. I had a unique form of Philodendron bipinnatifidum with extremely narrow pinnate foliage. I grew this plant from seed that was collected in Brazil and it seems Philo bipinnatifidum is very variable. Out of several thousand seedlings I selected a handful of the most unique forms to use in breeding. This being one of the more dramatically noticeable forms. I had a chance in 2015 to cross it with Philodendron speciosum I have growing. I have done similar hybrids but this being a more unsual form should produce some very unique characteristics in the offspring. I do not have fully mature plants of this cross but I do have a few hybrids moving a long now and I also have photos of both parents. With any cross like this the hybrids are usually a combination of both parents but some variation does show up and each one is slightly different.
Plants sold in 4 1/2 inch pots.
