Description
Colocasia “Black Ripple” PP26,151 (formerly known as Colocasia Puckered Up) is just one of those amazing plants you have never seen anything quite like before. Breed by Brians Williams of Brians Botanicals this amazing plant is compact and full. Mature plants grow to 3 to 4 feet tall with dark chocolate colored petioles held in a nice clump. The foliage is some of the most striking of any Colocasia to date. Each leaf is very dark shinny black with a light maroon underside and has a very puckered to rippled effect. This puckered effect gives the foliage a very unusual effect as light hits the leaves the light is reflected around the puckers causing a very unique look as some have described almost alien like look to the foliage. As a plant enthusiast myself I cannot wait to get a large patch of these out in the gardens. Great for containers or in tropical to annual beds
****These are shipped bare rooted with the leaves removed.**********
