Begonia grandis is a very tropical looking plant. Most people consider Begonias to be extremely temperamental but this species is hard as nails and very easy to grow. It can grow just about anywhere it seems part to full shade and in sun. It spreads easily and makes a large mat usually 3 to 4 feet wide or larger in time and up to 2 feet tall. The leaves are green like pink veins. The flowers are pink and it can put on a pretty good show all year long. If you are growing hardy tropicals it is a great addition to the northern tropical garden.? Hardy zone 5 and up.
