There are just some plants that, if you don’t grab them now, you won’t get them at all. We’ve run into a couple of those on our hunt for next season’s treasures, and of course, we had to jump on them. Let’s just call it Christmas in July/Augusthere at Brian’s Botanicals! I’m not going to lie—right now, as I’m writing this, I have two trays of plants sitting in my kitchen sink. We came home to drop off Axel before running back out again, and there they were, sitting on the front porch… in the sun, of course. They’ll get potted up tomorrow, but for now, they add a certain je ne sais quoi to the kitchen décor.

Brian has also been busy replacing a lot of the liner in our older nursery tables. You all know how much we love a good Facebook Marketplace find. Originally, replacing all this pond liner was going to cost $2,000–$3,000. But after a little scrolling, Brian found a man selling old roofing liner for just $125 a pallet! Four pallets later, we have more than enough to redo all of our tables. Fun fact: pond liner actually originated from roofing liner! So far, Brian has replaced the liner in eleven eight-foot tables—not a bad deal. Only twenty more to go!

Now, back to cleaning up the greenhouses. May your Facebook Marketplace searches be just as successful!
