This week has been spent working on our hybrid fields at the farm. We added a new irrigation system to keep the plants happy in the 90-degree temperatures. This is our first time using drip tape, and it is amazing! Our rows are 200 feet long, and the drip tape is able to build up its own pressure so that the plants at the very end get as much water as the plants at the beginning of the row. I think we are the only people who have a field like this in their front yard, but hey, it’s what we like to see when we are driving up to our house.
