Tradescantia pallida
Tradescantia pallida also know as purple heart plant or a wondering Jew.
Is a very tough ornamental plant. It can be used in hanging pots as a
ground cover or fill in for a large container. The plant has dark purple
foliage that crawls or vines as it grows. It will also produce small
pink flowers in summer. I have found the plant to also be very cold
hardy and it can survive zone 6 winters if mulched or protected. Plants
are sold as bare rooted cuttings.
