Dracontium prancei (Silver Shadows)
Dracontium prancei (Silver Shadows) is a rare species to begin with.
This selected form produces very odd and interesting silver markings on
the foliage with age. As the leaf gets larger the inside portion
produces a dark red to maroon center. The petiole is also very
impressive. It is a dark maroon color with silver brown and red banding.
Looking more reptilian than plant like. I have never seen this in any
other collection in the US. I have rarely been able to propagate the
plant every few years. This year I have a fairly good stock of small
dime size tubers coming along. Don't miss out on ordering this amazing
aroid.
