Ficus villosa is a rare and hard to find Ficus species from Asia. It has green leaves with hairs all over new leaves are usually red to bronze in color. Leaves are heart shaped and point downward. It is one of the few species of Ficus that shingle as it grows. Which means it grows flat to the surface it climbs. It works great as a terrarium plant hanging pots or growing up a totem or tree. Hardy to zone 10 it is sensitive to cold. This is the first time I have tried to propagate the plant so hopefully I will have good luck in rooting these pieces in 3 inch terrarium dome pots. If you like rare and unusual this is one to grow.
