Costus guanaiensis

Costus guanaiensis is an odd species of ginger found in South America. We got our seeds collected out of Ecuador. The stems swell up like large bamboo stems with pink undersides. The leaves make a spiral pattern up the stems. Once the flowers of this plant are mature they are a beautiful yellow.

The plant can grow to 7 feet tall.
