Philodendron crassinervium
Philodendron crassinervium is a species plant with long narrow upward pointing leaves and no back lobes. The leaves look more like Roman spears with a large mid-vein. The mid-vein is fat with red sap glands and is used by the plant for holding water during dry spells. The leaves can get up to 3 feet long and 3 to 4 inches wide. This plant looks very impressive growing on a tree or totem. It is easy to grow in a tropical garden or as a house plant. The plant for sale is in a 4 inch pot. The plants were grown from seed collected in Brazil these are cuttings off of the maturing seedlings.
