Philodendron cordatum (Angra dos Reis)
Philodendron cordatum (Angra dos Reis) has been a very odd and beautiful plant to grow. We first obtained this plant through a friend as (Angra dos Reis)and it has sense been IDed as cordatum. These plants were grown from collected seed out of Brazil. The plant has large leaves, white veins and red sap glands that produce a sugar like sap for ants which help rid the plant of other pests. The leaves can measure up to 3 feet and is climber. I have found that growing Philodendrons from seed gives you multiple variations of the plant. Some of these have more veins or spots others tend to have rounder or slender leaves. So it seems no two plants are exactly alike. The plant for sale is in a 4 inch pot.
